What, What, has it really been 6 months??

Ok so it has been 6 months sense my last post, but we have been very busy -Honest!!! The spring and summer have just vanished in a blink of an eye.  To recap in 10 points or less.

1.  March - Took our first R&R trip to Bali, had a great time.  It was so nice to get out of camp and relax.  Best part was the McDonald's delivery for dinner.
2.  April - Took a quick trip to Singapore for some health issues, all better with in a weekend
3.  May - first Mother's day with Evan, Steve made it a wonderful day!!
4.  June- Left camp to visit California for the summer, but right before we left Evan started to crawl.  I knew I am in trouble when my baby started to crawl at 6 months!!
5.  July - Was a CRAZY BUSY month for us.  Craig got married in Tahoe, spent a day in Yosemite for my birthday, attended my Grandma's 85th birthday party, baptized Evan,  and literally drove 3000 miles with in 3 weeks around the bay area.  We had a fantastic home leave and loved seeing all our family and friends.  We were sad to leave but ready to return to our jungle home.
6.  August - This month has flown by so fast, Evan has been getting increasing mobile crawl/chasing the cat around the house, pulling up on everything, and surfing the furniture.  I have no doubt he will be walking before he turns one.  He has also started to eat solid foods, YEAH!! He is loving feeding himself and will eat anything that is put in front of him.
7.  September -  The month has only started but I am already planning for our next trips this fall/winter,  we are going to Malaysia for our next R&R in October and will be making the long trek to California in December.

Take a stroll through my flicks photo stream to see all the up to date photos of our last 6 months, I hope you enjoy.  I will try to be better in the coming months but can't promise anything. :)

walking the dog

So this week I am training the Gardner to walk London.  This way when we are on vacation London can get out of the house and go for some walks.  The Gardner is doing great!! Monday and Tuesday I walked with him and today he walked down the street by himself and London as I watched from the house.  Now it may sound like a small task and you may ask what is the big deal, well Indonesians DO NOT like dogs!!!  And of course our dog is large (about the same size and an Indonesian person) and barky, it adds even more to their fears.  BUT the gardner did great today, after the walk he made London sit down and took off his leash by himself too.

This afternoon the gardner will be taking London on a full walk by himself, we are taking baby steps and its working, yeah!!

Flickr

I just added Flickr photo stream to my blog, I am a new user and really am liking the program.  I will be using it to share all the wonderful photos coming up in our future.  I have a small collection of family, pets and friends photos on there now so enjoy taking a look.

Sidenote:  Like I said I am new to the flickr game and the last batch of photos I added was of the pets, there are other photos just need to scroll through ;)  If someone knows how to mix the photos up on the photostream so it is a collection of all the photos, not setup by download group, please let me know.

Friday

Ever have one of those great relaxing days where you think "Man I am lucky to live the life I do".  That was last Friday for me.  I woke up to baby cuddles and a husband coming back from an early game of golf asking me "what would you like me to make you for breakfast -- pancakes?"  We then enjoyed our coconut pancakes watched a little TV and then took the dog and baby for a walk.  After the walk we all laid down for an afternoon nap for two whole hours - Heaven!!.  Especially with a 2 month old baby that still wakes up at least once a night, a nap in the middle of the day for any amount of time is Heaven!!  We where then invited over to one of Steve co-workers house for a dinner party where we got to meet this parents that where visiting from Jakarta for the weekend.  Very nice people and they gave us so many recommendations on places to visit on our trip to Bali next week.

Hope next Friday is just as nice as the last one.  We will be starting on our trip to Bali  . . .
